The Western Woods, also called the Western Forest, is a location in the Spring Court territory. Feyre Archeron captures the Suriel in this forest. There is no path in the forest, only trees and running water.

A Court of Thorns and Roses[]
When Feyre asks Lucien Vanserra what she should do to catch the Suriel for answers, Lucien tells Feyre that she should go to the grove of young birch trees in the Western Forest with a recently killed chicken and leave it in a clearing in the middle of a snare trap so that when the Suriel tries to grab the chicken, it would fall into the trap. After freeing it, she would need to run to the nearest running water as the Suriel hate crossing water. Lucien should be hunting nearby in the forest, and would be able to help her if she screamed.
With this information, Feyre entered the Western Forest and created a snare for the Suriel. She captured the faerie and it reluctantly gives her information regarding the land of Prythian and Hybern. Feyre is soon interrupted by a group of bloodthirsty naga. They chased Feyre across the Western Forest until Tamlin comes to her aid and kills them.
Lucien later apologized to her for not coming to her call and to make up for it he gave her one of his favorite knives.
