History

Nuala belongs to the Night Court and like her twin sister Cerridwen she is half-wraith and half High Fae. She was trained by Azriel as a spy and answers to him and to Rhysand.

A Court of Thorns and Roses

Nuala and her twin, Cerridwen, were in charge of dressing and painting Feyre's body while she was Under the Mountain.

A Court of Mist and Fury

She is Feyre's handmaiden and attends her when she is in the Night Court.

A Court of Wings and Ruin

Both Nuala and her sister Cerridwen are seen in The Town House when Feyre returned from the Spring Court and she hugged them very tightly upon seeing them. Later Elain Archeron, who had moved there from the House of Wind after the Hybern attack, told them that she was hungry and asked if they would teach her to cook, so the twins teach her how to make bread, which led to all three of them being covered in flour from how much fun they had.

They apparently developed a friendship with Elain as later when Nesta Archeron and Feyre offered to help her dress and do her hair to go to the meeting with Graysen, and his father Nolan, she told them it was not necessary, that she would ask Nuala and Cerridwen.

A Court of Frost and Starlight

After the end of the War against Hybern both she and her sister developed a close friendship with Elain, who usually helped them prepare meals. On the day of Winter Solstice she bought blankets (one lilac and one raspberry pink) as solstice present for the twins, though it is unknown who was given which.

Appearance

Nuala has black eyes and brown skin. She and her sister were initially described as shadow and smoke. In A Court of Mist and Fury, Feyre describes Nuala as fully corporeal.
