She is surprisingly young and stunningly beautiful. Nesta notes that Merrill's beauty makes Morrigan look drab in comparison. Merrill has white hair that is the same color as fresh snow. Her skin is light brown and her eyes the color of a twilight sky.

Merrill has a bully-like personality where she intimidates the other priestesses in the library. She demands a high standard from Gwyneth to the point that she does not want to displease her.
