History

The winter after Feyre Archeron and Rhysand made their bargain Under the Mountain, Tamlin finds himself desperate to break their bond. Lucien Vanserra goes to the Day Court to inquire about breaking Feyre's bargain that winter. The scholars explain to him that it is not known, not even by them, exactly how bargains work, this is why they avoid them unless it's necessary. Since bargains are old and strange magic trying to break a bargain could result in it claiming the person's powers or even kill them since magic is about balance.

Even then, the scholars were still working on trying to find a way, but they were slow according to Lucien, and Feyre had already been gone for months which was one of the reasons that prompted Tamlin to ally himself with the King of Hybern.
