This unnamed male is an Illyrian warrior and Cassian's father.
History[]
He lived in a Illyria and raped a a laundress who became pregnant as result. Since they weren't married, her son Cassian was always called a bastard.
When Cassian was three years old, he was taken away from her and brought to a different camp, Windhaven Camp.[1]
When Cassian was older and stronger, he went back to the village where he was born to search for his mother. There he learned she was dead, and the people refused to tell him where she had been buried. One of the females at the camp hinted they had dumped her off the cliff.
Cassian slaughtered everyone in the village except those who weren't responsible, the children, some females, and the elderly. Rhysand and Azriel helped him, and they found his father as well. They tore him apart before Cassian finished him.[2]
