I'm trying to capture that in my fanfiction A Court of Death and Legends (you can read on Quotev and it will be up on ArchiveOfOurOwn soon) but I feel like I'm not quite getting it...
Feel free to give m feedback here or on either of those forums if you have any
But Rhys is an actual name
Pronounced Reese
There's literally a kid called that in my class
And he's a big scary high lord why would he be called Rice
A lot of people who deal with depression and/or PTSD deal with it differently, but it's very common to distance yourself as much as you can from others, not just to protect yourself from being hurt again, but to protect them from being hurt by you. Like The Fault in Our Stars- I'm a grenade. When I blow up I'll hurt everyone who's close to me and I'd like to minimise the casualties.
You can have your own opinions, but I'm a 1000% Nesta stan and just thought that with all the controversy it might be cool to explain why I feel this way! Hard to put into words, so I'm glad you thought I did okay ?
It's her own form of masochism
The other mortal queens sold her to a dark lord on the continent, who cursed her, binding her to him and making her a firebird by day and woman by night. I believe this dark lord is Koschei, the Bone Carver's older brother, because all the descriptions match up- anyways, Feyre's dad made a deal that let her come to Prythian for the war and she's stayed there with Lucien and Jurian ever since.
I posted another thingy on the feed explaining my theories on why Nesta has always acted that way towards Feyre and Elain. Don't get me wrong, I love all the sisters, I'm just a total shameless Nesta stan ?
Nesta has always had a much closer relationship with Elain than she has with Feyre. Feyre was never particularly "doted upon"- in fact, Elain was- so it's not out of jealously. But the reason is still blatantly obvious.
No two characters (with debate, of course) are more alike than Feyre and Nesta. Yet Feyre was always the hero- the one that kept the family alive. She was the good one, and no one can say that's not a viable reason for Nesta to hate her.
Not when Feyre is everything that Nesta is- and everything Nesta wishes she could be.
Haha I'd say that Rhysand would be more than enough honestly

My favourite is Nesta because I can relate to her on a level I've never related to a character on before. I love her beyond all words and can't wait to see her journey in the next book!

SJM may or may not be writing a prequel novel for them
REEEEESAND
It's REEEESAND
@Kiriha Uchiha Same for me (only I call it Nessian)
@JayTevelle Yes. Feyre used to be a human and Aelin used to be a demi-fae but they are all high fae now.
She’s in the middle of edits now for ACOTAR 4 (will be published in 2021!) Sarah sent in a potential title to her editor that they both liked, but haven’t heard back from the publisher yet Maybe it’s the chosen title! Nesta and Cassian have a lot of sexy times in the book Sarah said her editor told her to cut out the unnecessary sex scenes But she already did cut out a lot before sending the book in! ACOTAR 4 is an ADULT book! Probably deals with heavy topics, so that’s a reason why for the ACOTAR 1-3 and novella re-binding and book cover changes So beware, it is NOT YA! The new bindups for ACOTAR is releasing June 5th, 2020 There will be some sort of virtual signing for these books, maybe some sort of gift incentive (still being worked on)
