@CS4563 Honestly!! Everybody disappointed with Az in that chapter but I was SO mad at Rhys - he acted like he and Az weren't even brothers :( I'm fully waiting for a scene where Feyre finds out what Rhys said to Az on Solstice, have a High Lord/Lady disagreement, and rescind his order. Feyre would never prevent Az from happiness all for politics, especially since she would want freedom and choice for her sister Elain as well.
@Lanilani Ahh in that case, maybe ... idk I really like Elriel still though haha, but that quote def means something. I actually haven't read the Az bonus scene yet, I'm trying to find it though bc I can't buy that edition here :(
I live for heated arguments so that scene was actually one of my favs LOL. But, I did like how Nesta realized her mistake and felt true remorse, especially when she was confessing to Cass about it. Though, I really wish Feyre didn't forgive her so quickly (she seemed almost nonchalant about something so serious). I was also looking forward to a formal apology from Nesta to Rhys because I actually think she hurt Rhys more than Feyre in a way. It was his secret to tell, and it's hard for me to believe that Rhys would be so calm around Nesta even if Feyre forgave her (that is, before the birth scene, because he would obviously forgive her then)
I for sure think the next book will be Az's story! Throughout the whole series, there's been so many hints and snippets of him that we've never delved into, and ACOSF explored that a bit more when showing his close relationship with Cassian. Who knew that Az's romance would be the most complicated out of everyone lol - Mor, Elain, Gwyn ...? Since the main series was Feyre's journey and ACOSF was Nesta's journey, if Sarah decides to stick with female characters the next one might be Elain's journey, but also from Az's third person POV (like Nesta and Cassian in ACOSF). This also makes sense to me bc throughout ACOSF, we see a more outspoken side of Elain, and in the Feysand bonus scene, Rhys even says that there's more to her than we might think. Either way, I think we're getting Az for sure!
Also, I ship Elriel still, even with this Gwyn business in the bonus scene ... I feel like Sarah's trying to throw us off with hints of Gwyn haha. Plus, I don't think she would introduce a brand new character so far into the story and pair her with Az immediately. After reading ACOSF and more of Az, I'm so excited for his story, one way or another :)
Lol I have the exact feelings about Nesta. I'm doing a reread of the series and cringe at how she acts sometimes :/ I'm fine with the Nessian book though, as long as we get Cassian's perspective
He becomes very restricting and constraining. Imagine that male dominating, strict parenting role in your life saying, "no, you can't do this, you can't go out, you're not capable, etc." And he only serves to hurt her mental health.
(it comes from a good place though, but still, detrimental to her well-being)
HA lol I'm sure you do, it's everywhere. But honestly, I laugh just thinking about me reading ACOTAR for the first time and yelling at my friend, "HOW CAN RHYSAND POSSIBLY BE BETTER THAN TAMLIN?!"
Oh, how the tables have turned ... LOL
Let's just say Tamlin becomes a very unlikable and patriarchal character in ACOMAF and somebody else becomes considerably more likable ... someone you've already met ...
I know you don't mind spoilers but honestly the change of feeling toward Tamlin is such a huge part of the joy of reading this series LOL - PLEASE read the next book and you'll find out immediately !!
These covers definitely look like they're aiming toward a more adult audience, but I prefer her traditional covers with the protagonist on the front, like Feyre, Aelin, and Bryce on her others.
