So I found this on Pinterest and it says everything I have thought about Rhysand in ACOSF. I know he’s been getting a LOT of hate for his behavior, but read this and they explain it super well.

Haha I like this explanation thank you to whoever wrote it
Ikr. Lol
Sure, if you can excuse Rhys for being stressed and having ptsd, where the heck are all the people to defend tamlin? Rhys acted the exact same why tamlin did in the second book, and there’s no excuse for that.
Well @MLBug, a couple things make it so that I (and others) can’t defend Tamlin. Rhys didn’t go as far as Tamlin did (not even listening to Feyre’s opinions, making her wear/do things she didn’t want to just because he wanted her to, going against her wishes, ignoring all of Feyre’s issues and only focusing on his own.) Anyways, yes Tamlin had severe PTSD and that PTSD changed him and drove him to do unforgivable things. Rhys hasn’t crossed any of the lines he did (so Rhys did not act the same as Tamlin), which is why I still defend Rhys but not Tamlin but Tamlin needs to accept help for his PTSD too. he’s still not a good person-he’s far from it-but we give everybody (who deserves it) second chances and imo Tamlin has shown that he’s still not that far beyond help (tho he will be soon). Anyways, I got carried away but that’s what I think MLBug
Yeah what @QueenofStars338 said. And I don’t see any resemblance between him and Tamlin.
Yeah I get that, and I do get the fact that he was worried for her safety, and that he is the type of person to try to fix something and do it himself before worrying someone else, and I know his intentions were good. I’m just mad that he didn’t tell her anything, and that everyone else knew about the pregnancy before her, and he got mad at nesta for doing something he should of done a long time before. And I know the situations not the same, but I’m also upset that their intentions were the exact same, (obviously tamlin went over the line way too much, and I’m not defending that, I’m just saying not telling someone they will die if they have a child, seems worse to me than locking someone in a castle (I know tamlin did other stuff but that’s the big one) ) but feyre didn’t get mad at Rhys at all and made it seem like it was fine for him not to tell her.
Well Feyre did get mad at him but not for long and that’s probably bc she knew exactly what he was thinking when he did it and she had more important things to worry about at the time. I have no doubt that Rhys will not make the same mistake again. I think that what Tamlin did is still worse because Rhys was going to tell her eventually (and I get why he didn’t tell her earlier but he should’ve told her before I agree with you on that) and Tamlin did a lot of other things not just keep a truth like that from her. He lashed out at Nesta because of the stress on him and she was someone he didn’t rly like and he’d thought before that Nesta could bring trouble so he just thought the worst. I also feel like all these nuances in his and Feyre’s emotions weren’t represented in writing properl6 bc of the POV it was written in so…😐
I think that half of the stuff that happened that we think is out of character etc can be explained bc of the POV it was in and the other half bc of circumstances/instincts. You just need to Roy get inside the character’s head to figure out what is what
What do you think?
