Fellow fandom, I really need some book suggestions to read after having read and re-read SJM's books.

Read better books.
Some good books I know of are
The Lunar Chronicles
Maximum Ride
A Sea of Ink and Gold
Soul Seekers
A School for Good and Evil
Percy Jackson
Keeper of the Lost Cities
Fablehaven
The cruel prince
All Rick riordan
The hunger games series
The ash princess series
What if it’s us (stand alone)
The fault in our stars (Stand alone)
Most adult urban fantasy/paranormal romance have the same vibe i guess
-His Fair Assassin (it hurts to compare them bc hfa is miles better tbh)
-Serpent and Dove (i've heard the author's writing style and characters are similar but i don't want to read it)
-Daughter of Smoke and Bone (again, hurts to compare)
-The Folk of the Air (i haven't read the final book but many sjm fans are also fans of this book and the romance. i personally hate that part but to each their own)
Keeper of the lost city, a underrated series. The hunger games. Artemis fowl. Lord of the rings. These are some of my favorites. ?
Some of my favorites:
1) ALL of “The Mortal Instruments”, including “The Dark Artifices” and “The Last Hours”
2) “Beautiful creatures” -(Caster Chronicles)
3) “Wander Dust” - (Seraphina Parrish Trilogy)
4) “The Selection” Series
5) “A Discovery of Witches” - (All Souls Trilogy)
6) “The Wrath and The Dawn”
7) “Ruby Red” - (Precious Stone Trilogy)
8) 4 stars - still a very good read and another beauty and the beast type story is “A Curse so Dark and Lonely”
9) “The Dark Elements“ Trilogy by Jennifer L. Armentrout- honestly I’ve enjoyed reading most of her books!
10) “Highlands Lairds” by Julie Garwood
I dont think any of these book suggestions relate to any of Sarah J Maas' books but here are my top 10 ish, none of these are ranked in any order, they are just some my favourite that i remembered off the top of my head:
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton (its a trilogy and i LOVE it SO much)
Ship of Smoke and Steel By Django Wexler (LGBTQ+ so if you dont like that then dont read it)
The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff (its not written like a normal book, its written like a file record, i didnt like the style at first but as it got less confusing i loved it)
Dress Codes For Small Towns by Courtney C. Stevens (also LGBTQ+ but one part connected with me- "find people who have parts of your soul")
I am not Esther by Fluer Beale (its a trilogy, really interesting, a girl in an extremely religious family finds her way out, it might be a bit triggering to some people so be careful)
The Vagrant by Peter Newman (duology, i loved the first book, the second book not so much, i didnt finish the second)
Ok so theres two series here, directly related to each other, by Philip Pullman - His Dark Materials (better known as the golden compass series) and The Book of Dust (duology, might be a third on the way)
Haven Fall by Sara Holland (OMYGODS i loved this one so much but im so sad that its only one really short book, got it out in 1 1/2 hours, also LGBTQ+ but only light mention)
The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco (trilogy, loved them)
Crown of Feathers by Niki Pau Preto (ILOVED this one sooo much its soo good theres this little bit of writing at the top of each chapter, put the parts together and it makes another story (if anybody wants the story without having to put it together themselves i could probably post it on the wiki))
Book of the Ancestors by Mark Lawrence (its super good i love it)
Ice Station by Matthew Riely (its an 'old' series, first one was written in 1998 or something)
What do you think?
