This is all true, it's just that personally I think she should have been a bit more considerate because she knew that she was being rude and that by distancing herself she was hurting Elain and Feyre. It's just my opinion though.
It's her own form of masochism
I just voted for Nesta though actually I would have chosen Elain.
My username is NestaCarstairs108 after all. For me Elain is like an awesome big sister: quite supportive and kind. Also if I would be in ACOTAR I'd totally want to be Elain her power's totally cool.
My fave is Feyre for obvious reasons, second would be Elain because she is kind to everyone but still (i think) stronger than either of the sisters. My least favorite is Nesta because she is horrible and there are really no excuses for her actions, she is very Abusive to almost everyone in the series. (please feel free to discuss if you have different opinions ?)
A lot of people who deal with depression and/or PTSD deal with it differently, but it's very common to distance yourself as much as you can from others, not just to protect yourself from being hurt again, but to protect them from being hurt by you. Like The Fault in Our Stars- I'm a grenade. When I blow up I'll hurt everyone who's close to me and I'd like to minimise the casualties.
I completely agree i just think that she is not very sympathetic to anyone and I dont like how everyone makes excuses for her, I am very hopeful that she will be redeemed in the next book but in ACOFAS she was cruel to Elain and Feyre even though they both have PTSD aswell but are still being kind and trying to help her, and if she distanced herself that would be absoloutley fine is just the fact that she is cruel to them that I dont like.
I'm trying to capture that in my fanfiction A Court of Death and Legends (you can read on Quotev and it will be up on ArchiveOfOurOwn soon) but I feel like I'm not quite getting it...
Feel free to give m feedback here or on either of those forums if you have any
Cool, I'll give it a look
My favourite is Feyre. She kept the entire family together, and I never forget how she had to teach herself to hunt -- she literally ensured her family's survival. I get that everyone suffers differently, but some part of me never forgave Nesta for... just giving up. I appreciate how different she was, but I didn't really like her at first. But I grew to like her and Elain over time :)
Feyre is strong when other's aren't. She's no player and holds firm. She's a fighter.
What do you think?
