Yeah, I'm welsh aswell but I first read it Rise, my parents then corrected me-
I've always read it as rise-and, even with the pronounciation guide.
But I pronounce rhys as ris instead of rise (honestly i don't think anyone else does that but... that's the way I say it )
Yah, or rise-sand i guess just definitely not reese-and even though that's technically how ur supposed to do it.
I thought it was Ris-and idk tho lol

In the audio books it’s Reese-And And whenever someone calls him Rhys they pronounce it Reese ??♀️
I know Rhys is properly pronounced Reese, but 'Rise' just sounds kinda more mysterious
